STAND4EU | Project Final Event
The STAND4EU Final Event, co-organized with HSbooster, kicked off with:
A warm welcome to participants and an emphasis on the importance of collaboration with
HSbooster.
A presentation of STAND4EU, focused on enhancing standardization inputs from research
projects, followed by an overview of activities and ongoing support from HSbooster.
Keynote presentations offered insights on:
The importance of raising awareness and expertise in standardization.
Policy context and the significance of connecting standardization with research and
innovation.
Findings on bottlenecks and recommendations from the STAND4EU project.
Panel Discussions covered critical topics:
• Panel 1: Challenges and recommendations for integrating research and standardization, with a
focus on
leveraging existing funding and boosting SME participation.
• Panel 2: Presentation of the STAND4EU portal—a centralized platform for standardization
resources—alongside discussions on training,
awareness, and the role of standardization in
enhancing research impact.
• Panel 3: Shared experiences with standardization and the support received from STAND4EU,
along with the need for a structured
approach to integrate standardization in research.
• Panel 4: The European Standardization Strategy, highlighting the need for better integration
of research outcomes into standards,
continuity, and stability in standardization processes.
Future Activities for STAND4EU will include:
• Ongoing support for research projects and SMEs through coaching, training, and the STAND4EU
portal.
• Working to become a center of excellence for standardization, serving as a primary source
for standardization information and support.
• The event concluded with a call to action for participants to engage with the STAND4EU
portal and support ongoing standardization efforts!
